Yoga Teacher Training

Bab Zouina works with various qualified teachers to provide Teacher Training courses, generally following the Yoga Alliance framework. These courses of 50, 100, 200 or 300 hours lead to a diploma and enable you to become a yoga teacher. They are given either in one block or in several modules.

We’ll start by revisiting the basics, beginning with a definition of Yin Yoga and its links with fascia-centred practices. Naturally, we’ll delve into the history and principles of Yin Yoga, exploring its philosophical foundations and its integration with Chinese medicine and meridian theory, as well as its parallels with Ayurveda.

Our journey continues with an exploration of the fundamental postures of Yin Yoga and their various variations. Before continuing, a brief overview of the anatomy and physical structure of the body will help us understand how these postures influence connective tissue and fascia.

Finally, we’ll look at the tools and techniques for effective teaching. This involves creating personalised sequences adapted to individual needs and incorporating complementary practices such as meditation, pranayama, mantras, etc. We will also look at teaching methodologies, the influential role of language choice and the importance of tone of voice.

I accompany many students on a daily basis, through my individual classes, group classes, courses and retreats. I attach great importance to preserving bodily integrity and preventing injuries. My knowledge of anatomy enables me to adjust each posture to each person’s specific bodily characteristics, current possibilities and objectives.

The main intentions of my practice are benevolence, gratitude, compassion and self-love, combining rigour and elegance with gaiety and letting go. Constantly inviting students to link their bodies and their minds, in search of and respecting their limits.

I’m convinced that yoga is a whole, a way of developing oneself in all areas of life, a beautiful path to self-fulfilment.
